Product Description
Agents have been told not to disclose "confidential" information to others, but what is "confidential" and what can be disclosed to others? Often real estate appraisers, by law, are required to contact a party that was involved with a real estate transaction. Appraisers turn to real estate agents in an attempt to find out the condition of a listing when it sold or if there were any concessions involved with the sale. For a long time agents have been told to not disclose "confidential" information. The problem has been in defining what is "confidential" and when is it OK to help the appraiser.
Course Objectives:
1. Define the terms "confidential" and "secret"
2. Describe real world examples for both the agent and appraiser
3. Help the agent understand when information loses its confidentiality
4. Explain when it’s OK to talk to the appraiser and what sort of information can be conveyed
5. Help keep the agent out of trouble and still provide service to others
