How Do I Register?
Registration is easy – simply decide on the class or classes you would like to take, click “Add to Cart” and “Proceed to Checkout.” You will be asked to either, enter your email address and password to access your account, or to create a new account if you don’t already have one. Then, it’s just a matter of following the three (3) step Checkout process. Once payment is confirmed (usually within seconds), you will be redirected to a Confirmation page which will contain the link you need to attend your class. You will also receive an email with the same information.
What Do I Need?
To access online classes at the Hagar Institute, all you need is a reliable computer (with speakers), an internet connection, an active email account, and a web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Foxfire, or Safari). The classes are web based and you should be able to view them just like any other web site. You will need to have your speakers turned on and the volume set at a comfortable level.
How Do I Access My Online Class?
The access to your class is provided as soon as payment confirmation is received (usually within seconds). At the time of registration, you will receive a Confirmation (on screen at the site) and by email. Included will be a link that you can click on to start your class. If you prefer to wait until a more convenient time, you can always login into your account at the Hagar Institute – hagarinstitute.com (click “My Account” at the top of any page). Login as a Registered Customer and you will be directed to your account “Dashboard.” This is where you can manage your account, edit your profile information, view all orders, and access the “My Downloadable Products” with links to your purchased classes. Select “My Downloadable Products” and then click on the title of the class you wish to view. A new browser window will launch and the class will start automatically within seconds (depending on the speed of your internet connection).
You may want to be sure that you have allotted enough time to take the class. For your convenience, we do provide basic playback controls at the bottom of the window to allow you to pause the class session, restart or play, and navigate backward or forward to individual slides. Please note that if your internet connection is lost or you close your browser, the class will terminate. In that event, we do allow you to start your class from the link two (2) times.
